Updating an ongoing story, Alan Eskew, writing for Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins RP Mike Fetters (elbow) saw specialist Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles, California for a second opinion in his sore right elbow. "He's going back to Minnesota for an MRI, so they can match it up with his other MRI," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Thursday, June 19.

USA TODAY reports Minnesota Twins pitcher Mike Fetters (elbow) suffered swelling in his pitching elbow Monday and had to halt a workout. He tried to go through a throwing routine in the bullpen Monday but stopped when the elbow swelled. The Twins will seek a second opinion on the injury before deciding what to do.

Twins.MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports Minnesota Twins RP Mike Fetters (hamstring/elbow) will throw two simulated games in Kansas City before going on a rehab assignment and has a chance at being activated when he's eligible June 27.

Updating previous items, the AP reports the Minnesota Twins transferred RP Mike Fetters (hamstring/elbow) to the 60-day disabled list Wednesday. Fetters has been on the DL since April 27 with a strained left hamstring, but his latest problems are the result of a right medial muscle strain in his pitching elbow.

Updating on an ongoing story, Twins.MLB.com’s Mark Sheldon, reports Minnesota Twins RP Mike Fetters (hamstring/elbow) suffered a sore pitching elbow during a bullpen session. Fetter’s MRI revealed a right medial muscle strain with no structural damage. Fetters will not do any throwing for a week.

Updating a previous story, Mark Sheldon, writing for Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins P Mike Fetters (hamstring) is eligible to come off of the disabled list May 16th, however team manager Ron Gardenhire said there is no time-table for his return. "We're trying to slow him down a little bit so he doesn't hurt himself," Gardenhire said. "I'm not trying to get him ready for any specific game. I'm just trying to get him ready to where we feel he can go out there and pitch without hurting himself again."

Updating a previous report, USA TODAY confirms the Minnesota Twins placed RP Mike Fetters (hamstring) on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday with a right hamstring injury. The move was retroactive to Apr. 27.

Jim Souhan of The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Minnesota Twins reliever Mike Fetters (hamstring) appeared to reinjure his hamstring while warming up Wednesday night, and General Manager Terry Ryan met with the field staff late Wednesday to discuss the injury. One player said Fetters was headed to the disabled list, but the Twins' staff would not comment.
