Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys DT Willie Blade (Achilles') suffered a ruptured Achilles' tendon while participating in training camp for NFL Europe in Orlando, Fla. The injury is expected to sideline Blade for the NFLE season, but most likely for the entire 2005 NFL season as well. Blade is expected to spend the next several months rehabbing the injury in Birmingham, Ala., where NFLE sends its injured players.

Blade feels more comfortable within the defensive scheme and more confident in his abilities this year. "Things look a lot better for me right now," said Blade. "It just took me a while to know what was going on. But I think I understand things a lot better now. I can recognize formations now and I have more confidence than I ever had before."

If ready, there certainly is a chance Blade could return to his first-team duties, where he left off nearly a month ago after spraining his left knee in practice. Blade is listed questionable on the injury report, but it appears he will be able to contribute in some capacity against the Giants.
