Updating previous reports, the Contra Costa Times reports San Francisco 49ers head coach Dennis Erickson said DE Dwayne Missouri contacted the team Sunday night and said he was quitting football.

The Contra Costa Times reports San Francisco 49ers DE Dwayne Missouri didn't show up for the two days of minicamp, and neither head coach Dennis Erickson nor general manager Terry Donahue knew where he was. "We have contacted everyone we know to try to get a hold of him," Donahue said. "We just don't know where he is. It appears he's left the squad."

Brandon Frisch and Demetric Evans will be battling for the fourth spot in the rotation. Colston Weatherington and Dwayne Missouri will be battling just for a roster spot.

The Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys have signed DE Dwayne Missouri and WR Randal Williams. Missouri was signed off of Baltimore's practice squad. Williams was waived by Jacksonville last week.

The Ravens released undrafted free agent CB Reggie Waddell and rookie DE Dwayne Missouri. The team would like to sign the two released players to their practice squad.
