The Dayton Daily News' Hal McCoy reports former Cincinnati Reds SP Paul Wilson is grateful to his former team for the chance to resurrect his career. "I had to come to camp to see if I could still pitch, get back to being the Paul Wilson I once was," he said. "I worked as hard as I could, tried the best I could and I thank the Reds for giving me a chance. I'd still like a chance somewhere."

ESPN.com reports the Cincinnati Reds released SP Paul Wilson (shoulder). Wilson was the No. 1 overall pick by the New York Mets in the 1994 amateur draft. He had been trying to come back from shoulder surgery.
