Mon, 18 May 2009 10:57:38 -0700 Kristie Ackert, of the New York Daily News, reports former MLB SP David Wells thinks Major League Baseball should be stricter with their punishment for players who test positive for performance-enhancing drugs. "No 50-game suspension - ban them right away," Wells said. "That would stop (steroid use) in a heartbeat. Especially with the money they are giving out today. It would be incredible if they did that, you wouldn't have to worry about steroids or HGH." Wells also said statistics for players who have tested positive or admitted to using steroids should not be counted.
