Updating a previous item, the Associated Press reports Washington Nationals RP T.J. Tucker (elbow) had Tommy John surgery performed Tuesday, June 28, as expected. Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery and also took a bone spur out of Tucker's elbow. The timetable for Tucker's return is mid-2006.

Washington Nationals P T.J. Tucker (elbow) is out for the remainder of the 2005 season, and will have Tommy John surgery performed on his right elbow Tuesday, June 28. The surgery will be performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. Tucker is not expected to be back on a mound until July 2006, according to Bill Ladson of Nationals.MLB.com.
