Atlanta Braves P Ben Sheets, who was recently activated from the disabled list, will serve as a long reliever for the immediate future. The team has no plans to go to a six-man rotation to accommodate his return.

Atlanta Braves SP Julio Teheran threw a simulated game Friday, Sept. 7, and SPs Randall Delgado and Ben Sheets (shoulder) are expected to do the same in the immediate future. The team is trying to keep all three pitchers sharp in case they are needed to make emergency starts.

Atlanta Braves SP Ben Sheets (shoulder) feels revitalized after spending the past two weeks resting his right shoulder. Sheets completed a side session before the Friday, Sept. 7, game against the New York Mets and believes he could soon be ready to rejoin the Braves' rotation if necessary.
