Jason Beck, of MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers SP Jeremy Bonderman has indicated that he thinks free-agent SP Kenny Rogers (Tigers) will retire from baseball. Bonderman has been trying to convince Rogers to return, but to no avail.

Jason Beck, of MLB.com, reports the Detroit Tigers are unlikely to re-sign SP Kenny Rogers if he decides not to retire. General manager Dave Dombrowski indicated that the team is not looking to add any more starting pitchers in the offseason.

Jon Paul Morosi, of the Detroit Free Press, reports the Detroit Tigers believe that free-agent SP Kenny Rogers (Tigers) has not made up his mind 100 percent to whether he will retire. "I don't think he's on the verge of signing with any club. I think he's content where he is right now. But it's more up to him on what he decides to do with his life. I don't know that he's made that decision 100 percent," general manager Dave Dombrowski.

The Detroit Free Press' John Lowe reports Detroit Tigers SP Kenny Rogers offered to step out of the rotation so the team could evaluate young players. "I told Skip (Jim Leyland) that I didn't want him to feel like he had to start me anymore," Rogers said. "I don't want starts unless I've earned them, and the last thing I'm going to do is stand in the way of some development of a younger kid who needs a game or two that could give the information to Skip and the Tigers to have a better read on him."
