The Minnesota Twins will add George Brophy and Brad Radke to the team's Hall of Fame this season, according to The Associated Press. Brophy was an original member of the organization, and served as farm and scouting director until 1985. Radke spent 10 seasons pitching for Minnesota, and started on Opening Day during nine of those years. The induction ceremony will take place Saturday, July 11.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Joe Christensen is reporting Minnesota Twins SP Brad Radke plans to make his retirement official Dec. 19 with a press conference at the Metrodome, ending a 12-year major league career spent entirely with the Minnesota Twins. "It'll be a sad day because he's not going to be pitching for us anymore," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "And it's also going to be a great day because he's done so much for our organization. He started with us, and he never left us. That's something our organization is very, very proud of."

ESPN.com reports the Minnesota Twins are pushing SP Brad Radke to return for one season. "We've all said, [we hope he stays] one more year," said Twins manager Ron Gardenhire. "Brad has pretty much done what he had to do in the game, I think. And until he makes his official announcement in front of you guys, we still got options with him. We are still talking, but it doesn't look very good, let's put it that way." Gardenhire confirmed Wednesday, Dec. 6, that the team has been in talks with Radke about returning.

The Houston Chronicle reports Minnesota Twins SP Brad Radke officially filed for free agency on Nov. 6. The move is expected to be a procedural one only, as Radke has announced his intention to retire.

Scott Merkin, of Minnesota.Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins SP Brad Radke was named a finalist for the Hutch Award. The Hutch is given to an active MLB player who most embodies the spirit and desire shown by Fred Hutchinson, whom the award is named for. Hutchinson, who lost his battle with cancer Nov. 12, 1964, at the age of 45, was a former pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, posting a 95-71 career record.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan has not spoken to SP Brad Radke since the season ended, opting to give the veteran pitcher space as he contemplates retirement. Radke has said he will likely announce a decision by early November, and all signs still point to him retiring.

"I'm going to take a few days," Radke said. "I'll give everybody a decision as quick as I can, but this is overwhelming right now. I'll sit back and talk to the wife and the kids first."

Kelly Thesier, of Minnesota.Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins SP Brad Radke (shoulder) felt just normal stiffness Friday, Sept. 29, after starting Thursday, Sept. 28. "It's not bad -- just my typical soreness, like I feel every other start," said Radke. "Other than that, it's a good feeling. I feel better than I thought I would." Radke will play catch Saturday, Sept. 30, and will throw a bullpen session Monday, Oct. 2, and is tentatively scheduled to be the team's Game 3 starter in the American League Division Series.
