He said he will not accept another minor league deal with no safeguards. Perez can face disciplinary action if he does not report by Sunday, Feb. 22. The team is saying that they have written evidence that Perez signed their original contract.

He regrets giving verbal agreement to the deal, which would pay him $850,000 if he makes the big league roster. "Appreciate my work means to increase the value of the contract and guarantee it. I will not accept any minor league contracts with no safeguards. I instructed my agent to report my position to the Nationals," Perez said.
