"The deal has not been finalized yet, but I hear we are in the final stages," Fukuoka team chairman Sadaharu Oh said Tuesday, Jan. 31. "We see him as a pitcher for our starting rotation." Penny confirmed Wednesday, Feb. 1, that he might be in Japan as early as next week.
