The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Milwaukee Brewers P Nick Neugebauer (shoulder), who opened the season with Class A High Desert after missing nearly two years with shoulder problems, is back in Arizona and throwing "an inning here and there."

According to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee Brewers P Nick Neugebauer (shoulder) pitched a simulated inning during a morning workout Thursday. If he recovers with no problems, Neugebauer said he might be allowed to pitch an inning in an exhibition game next week.

Updating a previous story, the AP reports SP Nick Neugebauer (shoulder) of the Milwaukee Brewers was placed on the 15-day disabled list. However, he is likely out for the entire season following shoulder surgery on Feb. 28.

Brewers | Neugebauer to Undergo Surgery; Season in Jeopardy

The AP reports P Nick Neugebauer (shoulder) of the Milwaukee Brewers will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder next week, placing his 2003 season at risk. Dr. Lewis Yocum will perform the surgical procedure and will likely check the labrum and rotator cuff. Neugebauer felt a pinching sensation in the back of his right shoulder while pitching on Monday. "I felt like I had no arm strength and every time I got to the top of my delivery, it stung,'' Neugebauer said. "There's just something structurally wrong in my shoulder that he needs to go in there and fix.''
