The Associated Press reports retired MLB SP Mike Mussina said he has no urge to return to Major League Baseball after retiring this offseason. Mussina's dad and brother have tried to talk him out of retirement.

The Associated Press reports the New York Yankees declined to offer arbitration to all eight of their former players who are free agents, which includes SP Andy Pettitte, OF Bobby Abreu, 1B Jason Giambi, SP Sidney Ponson, SP Carl Pavano, SP Mike Mussina, C Ivan Rodriguez and C Chad Moeller.

Updating a previous report, Anthony DiComo, of MLB.com, reports the New York Yankees would only consider re-signing SP Andy Pettitte if he agrees to a one-year deal at less than the $16 million that he has earned the last two seasons, according to Newsday. The Yankees also do not plan on meeting with Pettitte about returning until they know whether free-agent SP Mike Mussina (Yankees) will pitch next year.
