The Philadelphia Phillies have talked to free-agent SP Pedro Martinez (Phillies) and his agent about a possible comeback, similar to last year when Martinez pitched for Philadelphia in August and the postseason, reports ESPNdeportes.com's Enrique Rojas. "We have talked to his agent, but there's nothing so far," Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said. "We are not negotiating, but we've been talking to him. It all depends on whether he wants to play or not." Talks began a few weeks ago, per Amaro. Sources close to Martinez said the pitcher has started a physical conditioning regimen in the Dominican Republic and Miami and plans to pitch in the second half.
