The Associated Press' Jimmy Golen reports New York Yankees SP Al Leiter held the Boston Red Sox to just one run on three hits through 6.1 innings Sunday, July 17, in his first 2005 start with the Yankees. Leiter also fanned eight while walking three to improve his overall season record to 4-7. Leiter previously pitched for the Yankees from 1987-89.
