The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Cleveland Browns WR Chris Sanders has been taking some of the team's younger WRs -- including Dennis Northcutt, Quincy Morgan and rookie Andre Davis -- under his wing trying to teach them better work ethic. Sanders, who learned under Webster Slaughter his rookie year, said the team wants him to take on a leadership role and he's been trying to do that. During earlier workout sessions, he had the team's younger WRs working longer after practice catching more passes. Sanders believes the Browns have a lot of talent at WR and that they'll surprise some this year.

The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans WR Chris Sanders (back) said he's about 90 percent recovered from a back injury that required surgery and sidelined him for the final 12 games of the 2001 season. He's currently on the team's expansion list. If the Houston Texans don't select him, Sanders knows there's no guarantee he'll remain with the Titans. He's scheduled to earn $3.15 million in 2002.

Rolle is expected to play Sunday, while Mitchell may miss his third straight game. In fact, they didn't participate in any portion of the practice. CB Samari Rolle (foot), S Aric Morris (ankle) and LB Randall Godfrey (knee) were limited to individual drills during Tuesday's practice, as they didn't take part in team drills. WR Chris Sanders (back) returned to the practice field yesterday for the first time in almost two months. He worked on the scout team and took part in individual drills. The Titans Radio Network reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said that TE Frank Wycheck (ankle) is less sore and the team will bring him along slowly. CB Donald Mitchell was playing through an ankle sprain Sunday and was evaluated by doctors Monday. Fisher said S Blaine Bishop (foot/hand), TE Erron Kinney (calf), WR Justin McCareins (ankle) and WR Chris Sanders (back) are improving. Bishop will be rested until Wednesday. Fisher said that Kinney felt good Monday, but he doesn’t know how well Kinney will be able to explode off the calf, so the team will be watching him. McCareins wasn’t feeling sore Monday and could be ready to play this weekend or next weekend. Sanders has been cleared to start his activity.
