Milwaukee Brewers RP Kelvim Escobar (hand) is dealing with a pinched nerve in his right hand. He'll meet with manager Ron Roenicke Wednesday, March 6, to determine his next step. "Doing exercises, keep throwing and I guess pitch in a game again and see how my hand responds, and move on from there," Escobar said.

Escobar threw all fastballs "just to get a feeling again" and will throw at least one more bullpen session before facing hitters. He's trying to win a bullpen spot this spring.

He has pitched just one game in the majors since 2007 due to assorted shoulder ailments, and is attempting a comeback. "He hasn't pitched in a long time other than some games in winter ball," manager Ron Roenicke said. "Even there, you've got a break and now you've got to get it going again. We're just being cautious with him."
