Updating a previous report, the Detroit Tigers are interested in free-agent RP Octavio Dotel (Cardinals), and have extended him a contract offer. General manager Dave Dombrowski did not rule out a multi-year deal, but said the team would prefer a one-year contract. "The preference would still be short term," Dombrowski said Wednesday, Dec. 7. Dotel is seeking a two-year deal. The St. Louis Cardinals have reportedly offered a one-year contract.
