Cardinals | Michael Wacha spotless on road |
Fri, 05 Jun 2015 05:02:08 -0700
St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha allowed one run and seven hits for his eighth win in nine tries Thursday, June 4. The Cardinals won 7-1 over the Los Angeles Dodgers as Wacha improved to 6-0 on the road. He is the first Cards pitcher to start 6-0 on the road since SP Chris Carpenter and SP Matt Morris in 2005.
Fantasy Tip: Wacha ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) continues to cement his status as St. Louis' ace in the absence of Adam Wainwright. He is a must-start pitcher in FantasyScore formats.

Mon, 05 Aug 2013 16:10:47 -0700
St. Louis Cardinals SP Chris Carpenter (shoulder) said he's not optimistic that he'll make it back to pitch this season. He has no plans to visit with any doctors and hasn't thrown since his last rehab outing. Carpenter is in the process of determining whether he wants to try and play next season.
Fantasy Tip: It's becoming pretty clear that it might be a miracle for Carp to return this season. Don't feel obligated to hold out hope or a roster spot for him.

Cardinals | Chris Carpenter has setback |
Tue, 23 Jul 2013 13:21:20 -0700
St. Louis Cardinals SP Chris Carpenter (shoulder) felt more numbness in his hand over the weekend and will visit with doctors Tuesday, July 23. It's unknown when he will throw again.
Fantasy Tip: Any little setback like this for Carp could mean the end of his comeback bid. Keep an eye out for the results of his meeting with doctors. It's looking increasingly unlikely that he'll have enough time to return for the second half of the season now.
