Anderson tried to comeback this season after suffering a major injury during the 2005 season, but suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament and flexor mass muscle during a spring training game.

If Anderson had stayed with the Indians and made 31 starts, he would have received $230,000 in incentives besides his $1.5 million base salary. The $230,000 is part of the guaranteed package the Royals gave Anderson. "I really enjoyed being back in (the Indians) organization and pitching at home again," Anderson said.
