Eischen (shoulder) is trying to work his way through left shoulder tendinitis and believes the injury has caused him to alter his pitching mechanics with little success. His velocity has been down and he's also had a difficult time throwing strikes. He had allowed 10 runs and nine walks through his first five innings of action this year. Robinson has been giving him a longer leash because of loyalty and Eischen's past productivity.
