The Arizona Diamondbacks could wind up having former Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy and Triple-A Reno manager Phil Nevin on the same coaching staff. The team is expected to announce their managerial selection Monday, Oct. 13.

The Colorado Rockies hired former Oakland Athletics SS Walt Weiss Wednesday, Nov. 7, to replace manager Jim Tracy, who resigned Oct. 7 with one year and $1.4 million left on his contract rather than return. A team spokesman said Weiss would be introduced at a news conference Friday, Nov. 9, at Coors Field.
