Mark Story, of the Lexington Herald-Leader, reports free agent QB Tim Couch (shoulder) has undergone shoulder surgery and will not be able to play football in 2006. It is uncertain if Couch will ever be able to play football again. Tim Couch's older brother, Greg Couch, said, "They found a bad tear in his rotator cuff. It was not something they had repaired before. They don't know if it is something he did (recently) throwing the ball or if it was already there." Greg Couch added that the surgery was about a week ago and that he will not be able to throw for another six months. If doctors do clear Tim Couch again, his brother believes he will try one more comeback attempt.
