Mark Maske, of the Washington Post reports Washington Redskins OG Tre Johnson (Achilles) said Thursday, August 7 it still is unclear when he will return from a sore Achilles' tendon and a pulled hamstring, but he remains intent upon playing this season and beyond. "I know I can play a few more years," Johnson said.

The Washington Times reports the Washington Redskins may have to start newly signed G Tre Johnson at right guard on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. "Tre was fun to watch," offensive line coach Kim Helton said of Johnson's performance Wednesday. "There's a heck of a player in that body. Mentally, he's into all the things that you're supposed to do. But I don't know that physically he'll be in condition to be able to help us on Sunday. It might be necessary [for him to start], but it certainly wouldn't be fair to him. But with our injury situation the way it possibly could be, sometimes you have to do things that aren't fair."

The Washington Post reports the Washington Redskins plan to take a look at newly signed G Tre Johnson at right guard. First, Johnson must learn the playbook and get into better shape. Johnson said he probably will need "a couple weeks" to get ready. He would earn about $382,000, a prorated portion of the minimum salary of $650,000, if he remains with the Redskins for the rest of the season.

Campbell has a minor sprain of the MCL (knee) and Little has a sprained ankle. Coach Butch Davis said he’s hopeful that Campbell will miss only a couple of days and in the worst case, no more than a week. Little is day-to-day. OL Tre Johnson, who started camp on the PUP list, participated fully in team drills in both practices for the first time.
