"Tre was fun to watch," offensive line coach Kim Helton said of Johnson's performance Wednesday. "There's a heck of a player in that body. Mentally, he's into all the things that you're supposed to do. But I don't know that physically he'll be in condition to be able to help us on Sunday. It might be necessary [for him to start], but it certainly wouldn't be fair to him. But with our injury situation the way it possibly could be, sometimes you have to do things that aren't fair."

The Washington Post reports the Washington Redskins plan to take a look at newly signed G Tre Johnson at right guard. First, Johnson must learn the playbook and get into better shape. Johnson said he probably will need "a couple weeks" to get ready. He would earn about $382,000, a prorated portion of the minimum salary of $650,000, if he remains with the Redskins for the rest of the season.
