Browns | Miller Note |
Fri, 17 Jan 2003 07:46:55 -0800
The Beacon Journal reports Cleveland Browns LB Jamir Miller is due a $14 million roster bonus on February 27. The team must pay him that amount, or he becomes a free agent. Browns president Carmen Policy, speaking through spokesperson Todd Stewart, confirmed the existence of the bonus but declined to comment further. Miller and agent Leigh Steinberg feel Miller can find his true worth on the free agent market. His $14 million bonus plus Miller's $3.975 million salary would mean he would account for almost $18 million of the team's 2003 salary cap. Coach Butch Davis recently addressed Miller's status with the team by saying he didn't know what to expect from him given his Achilles' injury.
