Patrick McManamon reports for the Beacon Journal the Cleveland Browns have signed OL Gaylon Hyder off their practice squad to the regular roster. Coach Butch Davis said another team wanted to sign Hyder, which led to the team putting DE Courtney Brown on injured reserve and signing Hyder.

Associated Press reports the Cleveland Browns have waived DB Deke Cooper from the practice squad. The Browns have also signed DB Dyshod Carter and DT Gaylon Hyder to the practice squad.

The Daily Southtown reports the Chicago Bears signed DT Gaylon Hyder. He is from TCU and was cut by the St. Louis Rams last month.

According to their official site, the St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with five exclusive-rights free agents. WR Darrius Blevins, LB Dustin Cohen, FB James Hodgins, DT Gaylon Hyder, and G Pete Swanson all signed one-year contracts. No financial terms were announced but they likely signed for the offers they were tendered by the team.

According to John Clayton of ESPN, the only significant deactivation for the St. Louis Rams was DT Gaylon Hyder. KR Tony Horne continues to practice on his bad toe injury and appears to be able to play.
