The Associated Press reports former NFL QB Jake Plummer will be the quarterbacks coach at Sandpoint High School (Idaho) this season, according to coach Mike Mitchell. He will be paid as a normal assistant coach.

It is uncertain if the Buccaneers would be credited towards their salary cap number once the grievance is settled.

Stephen F. Holder, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and QB Jake Plummer (Buccaneers) will meet for an arbitration hearing Wednesday, June 11. The team is seeking to recover the prorated portion of a signing bonus paid to him when he renegotiated his contract in 2005. The up-front money was paid with the understanding Plummer would fulfill a contract that binds him through 2009. However, Plummer decided to retire after getting traded in March 2007. The team could gain salary cap space if they are successful.

Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not trying to convince QB Jake Plummer (Buccaneers) to play again but are trying to get him to pay them for not playing. The Buccaneers and the Denver Broncos have filed three joint grievances against Plummer over the last year because of Plummer's decision to retire from the NFL. The grievance hearing is expected to be held later in June. The Bucs are trying to have Plummer repay as much as $7 million.
