Oakland Raiders WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh and DL Richard Seymour said Tuesday, Jan. 10, that head coach Hue Jackson did not lose the team down the stretch. "No, not at all," Seymour said. "I didn't hear any rumblings about that. I heard news reports make more of a deal about it than it actually was. I feel like Hue did a good job and made great strides as a coach." Houshmandzadeh also had this to say: "I don't think he lost the locker room, and I'd be eager to find a guy who didn't think he did a good job. I would be hard-pressed to find a guy who doesn't like Hue. I'll bet you San Diego, Kansas City and Denver like this move, because we would have been good next year with Hue."

Raiders | T.J. Houshmandzadeh feels he will help |
Thu, 03 Nov 2011 06:13:31 -0700
Oakland Raiders WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh feels he will be able to add to the team's receiving corps as he will be able to work the middle of the field. "With the guys they have, they're all fast," Houshmandzadeh said, "but they don't really have a guy who can work the middle of the field and can run routes. So I can bring that to the table. With those guys on the outside and the way Carson throws the ball and his ability to understand what a defense is trying to do, we can be really good if we put this thing together real fast."

Baltimore Ravens WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh is confused as to why he has not been a bigger part of the team's offense thus far, according to Dan Kolko, of MASNSports.com. "It's different," Houshmandzadeh said. "I've got the offense, for the most part, I would say. There's certain things where I still make a mistake here or there, but for the most part, I know what's going on. I'm just not getting the opportunities, really, for whatever reason ... I told myself going in I wasn't expecting much the first three weeks, because obviously, they had a few things set in stone before I got here. And I'm not saying I'm expecting more this week, but I know the first few weeks I didn't expect a lot. Hopefully that will change, because that's why I came here. So, we'll see how it goes." Houshmandzadeh has two catches for 31 yards, and has been targeted 11 times this season, including just once in Week 3.

Ravens | Not concerned about lack of deep threat |
Mon, 06 Sep 2010 20:38:35 -0700
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh isn't that concerned about the lack of a deep threat among the Ravens wide receivers, reports The Baltimore Sun's Jamison Hensley. "You know how you stretch the field? You run deep," Harbaugh said. "They've got to cover you - especially when you have guys running down the field that can catch the ball. So you run deep and you throw it to them. If they don't cover them, they'll catch the ball and they'll score. So I guess what I'm saying is I think it's a little overblown. You put good players on the field and they're threats." New signing WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh is one of three sure-handed receivers Baltimore has along with WRs Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason.

The Baltimore Ravens have reached agreement with free-agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Seahawks) on a one-year deal worth $855,000, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Fantasy Tip: This one came out of left field, as the Ravens had already upgraded their wide receivers during the offseason. Houshmandzadeh should quickly step in as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason, whom should both lose receptions with Houshmandzadeh in the fold. Boldin should be considered a solid No. 2 fantasy football option, while Mason and Houshmandzadeh should be considered low-end No. 3 fantasy wideouts. WR Donte' Stallworth (foot), who is out until October, and Mark Clayton shouldn't be drafted.

Bengals | T.J. Houshmandzadeh not a good fit |

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis thinks the team's current core of wide receivers may not be a good fit for free-agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Seahawks), reports Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer. "If our team were constituted differently this would be a great spot for him to be back at. But right now where we are I don't know if it would be good for him," Lewis said. Lewis spoke with Houshmandzadeh via text message Saturday, Sept. 4, and said he has fielded calls from other teams about his former receiver. "I had people call and contact me as far as T.J. and I gave him a true, honest appraisal and a very honest one. T.J. helped us get where we are today. He's a good, young pro and a good man and he did a lot of good leading in this building," Lewis added.
