He will now be out for the 2002 season. Bengals trainer Paul Sparling said Stephens suffered a complete tear of the rotator cuff and is looking at a recovery time of three to four months.

Trainer Paul Sparling said Stephens is probable to play at Jacksonville. Sparling said DT Tony Williams (mid-foot sprain) has been cleared medically and "it will come down to a coaching decision" whether or not he'll be active this weekend.
