Updating previous reports, according to Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson, Cincinnati Bengals LB Canute Curtis is ready to take on his new role at MLB. "(Last year), I was cutting off the sideline and making them run back inside, he (head coach Marvin Lewis) doesn't want that. He wants speed on the outside. You can't question him. The guy's a great coach. You can see that. I like the middle, personally, you get a chance to make plays on both sides," said Curtis.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has decided to move LB Canute Curtis from the outside to the inside linebacker position, according to Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson.

Chick Ludwig of the Dayton Daily News reports for the Sporting News the Cincinnati Bengals have used their BYE week to get healthy. DT Tony Williams (right foot sprain), CB Robert Bean (hamstring), CB Tom Carter (bruised knee) and LB Canute Curtis (bruised right knee) have all healed over the BYE week. WR Chad Johnson (fractured left collarbone) may be the only player to miss this weekend's game.

The status of several other Bengals for the team's next game is: DT Tony Williams (foot) is probable, as are CBs Robert Bean (hamstring) and Tom Carter (knee). WR Chad Johnson (hip) is doubtful.
