Bills | Nathan Peterman in concussion protocol

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 11:14:00 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman (concussion) was placed in the league's concussion protocol Monday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Peterman got the start instead of the injured Tyrod Taylor in Week 14 but was mostly forced into a game-manager role due to the blizzard-like conditions in Buffalo. The rookie was hurt as he was making a head-first dive midway through the third quarter and was replaced by Joe Webb. Head coach Sean McDermott has already said the starting job will remain Tyrod Taylor's when he is healthy, and he has a shot to return from his knee injury in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.

Bills | Nathan Peterman throws TD before injury

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 14:34:19 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman (head) went 5-for-10 for 57 yards and one touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14 before he left the game because of a head injury.

Fantasy Tip: Peterman may have suffered a concussion during the game, so owners should check on his status in the next day or two. Tyrod Taylor will be the Bills starting quarterback when he is healthy but can be avoided in most leagues.

Bills | Nathan Peterman leaves game

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 12:28:14 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman (head) left the team's Week 14 game early and is being evaluated for a head injury.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Peterman will miss any playing time because of the injury. Tyrod Taylor is dealing with a knee injury but may be able to play in Week 15. Joe Webb probably would be the starting quarterback if both Peterman and Taylor are sidelined. Owners may want to avoid all of the Bills quarterbacks for now.

Bills | Nathan Peterman the likely starter

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 21:22:07 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman received all the first-team reps in practice this week, and Sal Maiorana of the Democrat and Chronicle said it would be "utterly shocking" if Peterman wasn't the starter against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Peterman's first start was a turnover-filled disaster, so even if he does receive the start, he is impossible to trust in Week 14 despite a decent matchup.

Bills | Nathan Peterman could start

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 07:34:59 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman could start in Week 14 in place of QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Peterman threw five picks in his only start and has no fantasy appeal in single-year leagues.

Bills | Nathan Peterman does nothing in relief

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 13:51:34 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman completed six of his 15 pass attempts for 50 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 13 against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Peterman was thrust into action when Tyrod Taylor (knee) was carted off. Peterman was sacked once, but didn't throw any interceptions or lose any fumbles. It's uncertain if Taylor will be forced to miss additional time, but if so, Peterman has shown he isn't someone to rely upon in fantasy.

Bills | Nathan Peterman has disastrous start

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 19:55:41 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman completed six of his 14 passes for 66 yards, no touchdowns and five interceptions in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Peterman was inserted into the starting lineup for Tyrod Taylor, but he was so bad that Sean McDermott went back to Taylor to finish the game. The rookie likely won't get a chance again unless Taylor is injured. The Bills travel to meet the Chiefs in Week 12.

Bills | Nathan Peterman to start

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 06:39:04 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman will start in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: The Bolts have been one of the better teams in defending the quarterback position the last five weeks. Peterman holds little fantasy appeal this week, and Tyrod Taylor can be dropped.

Bills | Nathan Peterman solid in preseason finale

Thu, 31 Aug 2017 19:56:13 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman completed 9-of-11 passes for 81 yards in the club's preseason finale Thursday, August 31, versus the Detroit Lions. He did not record any touchdowns or interceptions in the effort.

Fantasy Tip: If Peterman gets the nod in Week 1, he'll have as winnable a matchup as he could possibly have going up against the Jets, but it's hard to recommend him for any league that implements one starting quarterback. Overall, Peterman finished up the preseason 43-of-79 (54.4 percent) for 453 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. In other words, owners can find a better option.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor a Week 1 question mark

Thu, 31 Aug 2017 14:06:51 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, but general manager Brandon Beane feels good about Taylor's chances of playing Week 1. Beane is still confident in rookie QB Nathan Peterman if Taylor is unable to take the field.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has a decent matchup on paper against the New York Jets in Week 1. His value has decreased with the departure of Sammy Watkins, but his running ability remains a key factor in his fantasy success.
