Bills | Zay Jones has successful surgery

Thu, 18 Jan 2018 18:47:40 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones (shoulder) underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum on Tuesday, Jan. 16. According to a source, Jones' injury wasn't revealed until last week during a standard season-ending MRI examination.

Fantasy Tip: This injury might explain the rookie's inconsistent freshman campaign, as Jones looked like a useful piece at times for the Bills, while during other portions of the year, he was virtually non-existent. With not much depth at the position in Buffalo, Jones will get another chance to break out in 2018, but he'll be entering next year as mostly a WR4.

Bills | Zay Jones to undergo surgery

Sun, 14 Jan 2018 09:03:30 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday, Jan. 16, to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder that he played with for the majority of the season, according to his father.

Fantasy Tip: Jones finished the season with 316 yards and two touchdowns but has a solid chance to improve those numbers next season. He should be a top-three receiver for the Bills in 2018 and could be a late-round pick in fantasy drafts.

Bills | Zay Jones finishes with 20 yards

Sun, 07 Jan 2018 13:55:53 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones caught two passes for 20 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wild Card playoff game Sunday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Jones was not a big factor in the passing game this season but likely will see a bigger role in the offense in 2018. He could be a late-round pick in some leagues.

Bills | Zay Jones blanked in Week 15 win

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 16:56:41 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones ended up with no receptions on two targets in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Jones looked to be turning a corner a few weeks ago, but he is back to being on the back burner in the Buffalo offense. He hasn't had a catch in two games and obviously isn't someone to bother with in fantasy football heading into Week 16.

Bills | Deonte Thompson, Zay Jones will split time

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 12:18:21 -0800

Buffalo Bills WRs Deonte Thompson and Zay Jones will split playing time moving forward, according to offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. Thompson started opposite WR Kelvin Benjamin in Week 14 and played 84% of snaps compared to 61% for Jones.

Fantasy Tip: Both Thomposon and Jones could see plenty of snaps over the final three games with Benjamin nursing a knee injury. Truth be told, none of Buffalo's wide receivers are viable starters in the fantasy playoffs, especially with Nathan Peterman starting.

Bills | Zay Jones targeted seven times

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 13:52:40 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones posted two catches for a team-high 22 yards in Week 13 against the New England Patriots. He was targeted seven times.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills passing offense was awful, as Nathan Peterman was forced into action with Tyrod Taylor (knee) being carted off due to injury. None of the Buffalo receivers should be trusted for fantasy purposes heading into Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Bills | Zay Jones finds end zone

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 14:34:03 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones caught three passes for 33 yards and one touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Jones has been more involved in the passing game over the last few weeks and has two touchdowns in his last three games. He probably will not be a great fantasy option next week but can be a flex option against favorable matchups.

Bills | Zay Jones has best game yet

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 19:57:48 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones posted four receptions for a season-best 68 yards in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Jones, who missed the last game due to an ankle injury, has posted 121 receiving yards and a touchdown on 10 catches over the past two outings after totaling just 115 yards on 10 catches in his first seven contests. The rookie is finally starting to come around and live up to his potential, but he still can't be trusted as anything more than a WR4 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams right now.

Fri, 17 Nov 2017 14:48:16 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 17, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Jones likely will be at least the No. 3 receiver for the Bills because of the addition of Kelvin Benjamin but has worked with Nathan Peterman before. Owners may want to see how he performs this week before considering him a starting option.
