Packers | Jamaal Williams has decent outing

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:51:26 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams rushed for 57 yards on 18 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. He also caught four passes for 38 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Williams received most of the work at running back and could see a similar workload in Week 12 if Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones remain sidelined. He can be at least a flex option next week.

Packers | Jamaal Williams in line for healthy work

Fri, 17 Nov 2017 08:18:35 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams is likely to see the bulk of the work in the backfield in Week 11 with RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) likely out.

Fantasy Tip: Williams caught 15 passes combined in his junior and senior years at BYU, and he loses some luster in PPR formats. He has the kind of projected volume to be a flex play against a midrange Baltimore Ravens defense.

Packers | Jamaal Williams ready for lead role

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 19:15:19 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams said he is comfortable being the lead back whenever called upon because he approaches every week with the same work ethic.

Fantasy Tip: Williams ended up carrying the ball 20 times last weekend after Ty Montgomery was injured, and with Montgomery looking doubtful for Week 11, Williams should be in line for another heavy workload as the Packers try to protect Brett Hundley. If Montgomery sits, Williams will have RB2 upside against the Baltimore Ravens.

Packers | Jamaal Williams gets extended look

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 18:59:37 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams rushed 20 times for 67 yards in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears and he added a seven-yard reception.

Fantasy Tip: Williams was receiving the bulk of the work in the backfield with both Aaron Jones (knee) and Ty Montgomery (ribs) checking out due to injuries. Jones had a sprained MCL, so it appears he'll be sidelined for weeks. Williams is worth grabbing in all fantasy leagues.

Packers | Jamaal Williams practices in full

Fri, 06 Oct 2017 14:14:45 -0700

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams (knee) was able to practice in full for the third consecutive day Friday, Oct. 6, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is expected to shoulder a majority of the load on Sunday with Ty Montgomery doubtful to play due to an injury to his ribs. He is a nice streaming option in standard leagues and a solid low-priced option in DFS, as Todd Gurley carved up the Dallas rush defense last weekend.

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is on track to play against the Dallas Cowboys and likely would start if Ty Montgomery is declared inactive. He would be a No. 2 running back or a flex option in fantasy leagues if he receives most of the work at running back this week.

Packers | Top two GB backs at practice on Wednesday

Wed, 04 Oct 2017 11:52:26 -0700

Green Bay Packers RBs Ty Montgomery (ribs) and Jamaal Williams (knee) both participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Montgomery has already said he will play so long as his long-term health isn't affected, so this is a good sign for his availability in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys. Williams has repeatedly said he believes he will be able to go, but it is unclear at this time whether or not Aaron Jones did enough in Week 4 to move past him on the depth chart. Should Montgomery experience an in-game setback, it is likely Williams and Jones would share work regardless.

Packers | Jamaal Williams might play in Week 5

Tue, 03 Oct 2017 16:14:22 -0700

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams (knee) said Tuesday, Oct. 3, that he might be ready to play in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Tip: Williams might be pushing himself due to opportunity, as the team lost Ty Montgomery to broken ribs. The good news is that an MRI revealed no ligament damage for Williams, so it might be how much pain he can tolerate. If Montgomery and/or Williams are both sidelined in Week 5 it might mean Aaron Jones and Devante Mays draw in for unexpected action.
