Bears | Mitchell Trubisky just falls short

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:48:21 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 179 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky led his team into position for a game-tying field goal, but Connor Barth misfired badly on the attempt. The rookie QB also rushed six times for 53 yards and completed 60 percent of his passes for the second straight outing. He is showing signs of improvement as he gets more playing time. Trubisky and the Bears face a tough task on the road in Philadelphia in Week 12.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky throws for 297 yards

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 18:53:06 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Mitchell Trubisky completed 21 of his 35 pass attempts for 297 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears kicked the training wheels off and let Trubisky spread the ball around, and he looked to have quite a rhythm with newcomer Dontrelle Inman, as well as veteran Kendall Wright. He also hooked up with Josh Bellamy for the score. Still, he is more of a QB2 in deeper leagues heading into Week 11.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky throws for 164 yards

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 14:15:07 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky went 14-for-32 for 164 yards and one interception against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8. He also rushed for 53 yards on three carries during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Tribusky still has not thrown for more than 165 yards in any game this season and has two touchdowns and two interceptions in his four starts. He has some value in keeper leagues but can be avoided in most standard leagues.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky doesn't throw much

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 14:47:01 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed four of his seven pass attempts for 107 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears used a run-heavy offense with very few passes, although Trubisky did hook up with fellow rookie Tarik Cohen for a 70-yard pass and catch for the biggest offensive highlight of the game. Trubisky is a fantasy risk heading into Week 8 even with what should be a favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Bears | Chicago feeding Jordan Howard

Sat, 21 Oct 2017 20:47:25 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard has rushed a combined 55 times for 243 yards in the two games QB Mitchell Trubisky has started.

Fantasy Tip: After an uneven start to the year, Howard has resumed his role as a workhorse back. Having Trubisky at quarterback should ensure that the Bears continue to lean on Howard going forward. Consider him a volume-based RB2 against a solid Carolina Panthers defense in Week 7.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky has quiet outing

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 14:24:41 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky went 8-for-16 for 113 yards and one touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky has not thrown for more than 128 yards in either of his starts this season and has two touchdowns and one interception during that span. He can be owned in keeper leagues but should be avoided in all other leagues.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky flashes potential in debut

Mon, 09 Oct 2017 20:58:37 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 12 of 25 passes for 128 yards with one touchdown and one interception in his first career start Monday, Oct. 9, against the Minnesota Vikings. He also added 22 rushing yards on three carries.

Fantasy Tip: The numbers don't tell the full story, as Trubisky actually looked pretty good here and exhibited many of the tools that will have him being a hot fantasy commodity in the future. However, at this point in time, he's probably more of an option for two-quarterback formats, as the depth around him is just too thin for a rookie to sustain any consistent solid play. He should still be fun to watch, though, no matter what.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky taking over

Mon, 02 Oct 2017 07:35:58 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky will take over as the starting quarterback in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky doesn't have a lot to throw to and is a much better dynasty asset than in single-year leagues. He's worth a speculative QB2 pickup, but expectations should be tempered.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky elevated to No. 2

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 14:56:55 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky was elevated to No. 2 on the depth chart behind starting QB Mike Glennon. "He earned it," head coach John Fox said. "It's not something we handed him for any particular reason other than he earned it."

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky had a strong preseason and he bumps veteran Mark Sanchez down into a No. 3 role. Obviously Trubisky has a while before he is relevant in weekly fantasy leagues, but he is certainly worth stashing away in long-term dynasty formats.
