Bears | Mitchell Trubisky comfortable with offense

Sat, 07 Apr 2018 18:29:22 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky said he feels like he is built for the new offense being installed for 2018. "I just feel like this offense is going to utilize my talents more and the players I have around me," Trubisky said. "And hopefully we'll get rolling from there."

Fantasy Tip: A year of experience plus the addition of multiple free agents should help Trubisky take a step forward in 2018, but he's still just a QB2 candidate for now.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky picking up offense

Sat, 07 Apr 2018 12:16:16 -0700

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy said he has been impressed with how QB Mitchell Trubisky has picked up the new offensive scheme.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears have added Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and Trey Burton this offseason, which should help Trubisky have more success in the passing game. Owners in most leagues should consider him a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2018.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky 'obsessed with being great'

Thu, 01 Mar 2018 21:13:49 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky is "obsessed with being great," according to general manager Ryan Pace, who also mentioned at the NFL Scouting Combine Wednesday, Feb. 28, that Trubisky is a "natural leader" and that he's "very passionate about this."

Fantasy Tip: Based on these comments, it appears Trubisky has all the intangibles to take the next necessary steps forward in his NFL journey as early as next season. Certainly, the addition of new head coach Matt Nagy will help after his excellent work with Alex Smith in Kansas City. At the moment, Trubisky doesn't have much as much depth in his supporting cast as other teams, but that would change drastically if the Bears were to acquire Jarvis Landry. Either way, he's a real dark horse in fantasy circles.

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky went 14-for-23 for 193 yards against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16. He also rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown on seven carries during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky had a decent outing this week after throwing three interceptions last week. He will be facing a tough Minnesota Vikings defense in Week 16 and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky picked three times in Week 15

Sat, 16 Dec 2017 17:11:55 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky threw for 314 yards in Week 15 to go with one touchdown, but he was picked off three times against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Tip: At this stage if you have Mitchell Trubisky as your starter, you're likely not in the fantasy playoffs. Still, Trubisky is in no danger of losing his job at this point and may make a decent QB2 option to hold onto in case of an emergency.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky posts 271 yards, TD

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 15:17:33 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 25 of his 32 pass attempts for 271 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 14 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also ran twice for five yards and a score.

Fantasy Tip: The rushing touchdown was the first of Trubisky's career and the 271 yards were the second most so far. He has yet to have a multi-TD game through the air, however, and remains more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues at this point.

Bears | Nothing doing for Mitchell Trubisky

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 14:59:31 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 12-of-15 pass attempts for 102 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers. He also rushed four times for 19 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky has thrown for just three touchdowns over his past five starts, and he has yet to post a multi-TD game yet. Hey, Jared Goff struggled last season, too, and then he exploded for big numbers in 2017. Right now he isn't worth attention in fantasy, however.

Bears | Ugly line for Mitchell Trubisky

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 18:44:30 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 17 of his 33 passes for 147 yards and two interceptions and rushed four times for 12 yards in a 31-3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky has reached 200 yards just once in five games, and he now has more interceptions than scores. He doesn't need to be on the radar of fantasy owners.

Bears | Mitchell Trubisky just falls short

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:48:21 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 179 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky led his team into position for a game-tying field goal, but Connor Barth misfired badly on the attempt. The rookie QB also rushed six times for 53 yards and completed 60 percent of his passes for the second straight outing. He is showing signs of improvement as he gets more playing time. Trubisky and the Bears face a tough task on the road in Philadelphia in Week 12.
