Bengals | John Ross seeing lots of work

Sun, 27 May 2018 19:33:33 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross has been "fed the ball on a variety of routes" during OTAs, according to Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Fantasy Tip: Ross' rookie season was ruined by injuries, but the former top-10 pick has the speed to produce big plays. Cincinnati is going to do everything it can to help bring Ross along, and he'll be worth a flier in the final rounds of drafts.

Bengals | John Ross wants to think less, relax

Thu, 17 May 2018 09:42:33 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross said he was thinking about everything he was doing in his rookie season and it took away from his talent. Ross said the coaching staff told him he performs better when he's himself and relaxes. A shoulder injury also got the best of Ross, who said he was trying to do more than he could because of it. "You have to come in and prepare. I've learned that. It's growth and progression from here on [out]."

Bengals | John Ross feeling good

Tue, 15 May 2018 17:10:30 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross told the team's official website he "couldn't ask to feel any better" than he does at the moment and suggested this is the best he's felt since his final year of college.

Fantasy Tip: Ross quickly became a forgotten man in the Bengals' offense as a pre-draft shoulder surgery kept him sidelined until training camp last season. He landed in the doghouse shortly thereafter following a fumble on his lone touch of 2017 ended up in a fumble. Last year's No. 9 overall pick could easily be a post-hype breakout player, as Brandon LaFell is really his only main competition for a starting job. Ross is well worth a late-round flyer this spring and summer.

Fri, 30 Mar 2018 19:04:28 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross is "all fixed up" after dealing with injuries to his shoulder and lower legs last year, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Fantasy Tip: Ross has a lot to prove after injuries ruined his rookie season. Continue to hold on to him in dynasty formats, but he is no more than a late-round lottery ticket in redraft leagues.

Bengals | John Ross not a bust

Fri, 02 Mar 2018 20:40:37 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross "was not a miss," head coach Marvin Lewis said Friday, March 2.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis pointed out that Ross was injured a majority of the season, and while Ross was certainly a disappointment, it is a little too soon to label him a bust. That being said, he is no more than a late-round flier heading into 2018.

Bengals | John Ross better prepared

Sun, 25 Feb 2018 19:15:49 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross blamed the injuries he suffered last year on not being prepared for the physical aspects of the NFL, but he says it "all started to click" at the end of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Ross was limited to three games and didnít catch a pass as a rookie, but he still has time to develop into a dangerous deep threat. He has more appeal in dynasty leagues, but he could be a late-round flier in redraft leagues.

Bengals | John Ross concealed injury

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 23:02:23 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross (shoulder) admitted to concealing a shoulder injury Wednesday, Dec. 6, according to head coach Marvin Lewis. The injury is unrelated to the issue with his right shoulder that required surgery before the draft.

Fantasy Tip: Ross' rookie season is officially over, and it was an unmitigated disaster. He'll try to right the ship in 2018.
