Geoff Hobson reports for Bengals.com the appeal of working with his former defensive coordinator in Pittsburgh, Dick LeBeau, now the Bengals head coach helped bring free agent DE Kevin Henry to Cincinnati. LeBeau likes Henry’s versatility at playing both end and tackle, as can the Bengals incumbent starting DEs John Copeland and Vaughn Booker. LeBeau is looking at moving Booker to the end spot away from the tight end and putting Henry on the side of the tight end. Copeland had been ticketed to play away from the tight end. LeBeau said nothing is set in stone and there will be competition in training camp. Although no contract details were released, the deal figures to be a salary cap hit for this season of less than $1 million. That number allows the Bengals to continue to pursue free agent DT Dana Stubblefield, and it won’t cause the release of Copeland.
