Chiefs | Tyreek Hill tops 100 yards receiving

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 21:37:39 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill registered seven receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown against the New England Patriots in Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: This was Hill's debut as KC's No. 1 receiver, and he responded by leading the club in receptions and receiving yards (it was also a career high in yardage) despite having his night cut short with cramps. He looked every bit a legit WR2 for fantasy owners, and his speed makes him a dangerous option week in and week out.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (cramps) limped to the locker room with trainers against the New England Patriots Thursday, Sept. 7, with cramps but is probable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Hill's fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief that he isn't dealing with a serious injury. His owners can also celebrate Hill looking the part of a No. 1 receiver. He had seven catches for 133 yards and a score before exiting, showcasing his WR2 ceiling.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill struggles Friday

Fri, 25 Aug 2017 21:16:52 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill caught one pass on four targets for 11 yards in a 26-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks Friday, Aug. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Hill dropped a couple of passes, and it has been an overall quiet preseason for the speedy receiver. Still, he should be one of the featured weapons of the Kansas City offense, and while consistency could be lacking, he has enough upside to grab as a low-end WR2.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill standing out

Thu, 10 Aug 2017 14:41:46 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill "has been the star of camp," according to the Kansas City Star's Terez A. Paylor.

Fantasy Tip: Interestingly, Paylor advises not to hesitate taking Hill in fantasy but warns to never reach for anyone in an Andy Reid offense because it's too equal-opportunity in the red zone. It's good advice. If you are drafting Hill, you should do so for his ability to make splash plays and hope for the best in the touchdown department. He's a low-end, high-upside WR2 who figures to be an inconsistent option in the DeSean Jackson mold if defenses make it more of a priority to keep the ball out of his hands.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is headed for a "huge, huge year," according to Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star, and Paylor believes Hill could top 75 receptions this year.

Fantasy Tip: The speedy Hill enters the season as the No. 1 receiver for the Chiefs, and his big-play ability makes him a WR2 candidate.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill, Alex Smith sporting rapport

Fri, 04 Aug 2017 10:18:33 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith and WR Tyreek Hill has been a "great" connection all camp long, according to Chiefs.com's B.J. Kissel.

Fantasy Tip: The Chiefs forced themselves to make Hill their top receiver after releasing Jeremy Maclin this offseason, so it is a good thing Hill appears to be making the necessary strides in camp. Whether or not he can handle the No. 1 duties during camp or merely ends up being a complement to Travis Kelce is a matter of some debate, but news like this suggests the former is more than possible. He should be considered a WR2 with strong upside in fantasy.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill taking it to next level

Mon, 31 Jul 2017 06:22:15 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is taking his game to the next level, according to beat writer B.J. Kissel. Hill made multiple contested catches in tight space Sunday, July 30, and he fought off defenders for leverage. "He was hungry when he first got here," CB Marcus Peters said. "They think he is just fast, but he is a really technically sound receiver. He is just a little dude, but he is in a big man's body. He is one of the best receivers in our league right now, so you have to get work."

Fantasy Tip: Hill has quite a bit of hype in fantasy, and there's no denying his speed. He'll be in the WR2 mix in fantasy.

Chiefs | No kick returns for Tyreek Hill

Mon, 12 Jun 2017 11:35:34 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill will not be returning kickoffs this season, according to special teams coordinator Dave Toub. Toub and the Chiefs view Hill as too valuable of a wide receiver in light of free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin's (Chiefs) release. Hill will remain the Chiefs' punt returner, however. Head coach Andy Reid has already said that managing Hill's workload won't be an issue. Reid has managed similar players in former Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook and Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson.

Fantasy Tip: It makes sense that Hill would be taken off kick returns. He's more susceptible to injury on kickoffs and will be able to utilize his speed and shiftiness more on punt returns. Kansas City's Swiss Army knife is a prime WR2 candidate.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill to get first dibs at 'Z' spot

Wed, 07 Jun 2017 21:41:01 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill will "likely" get the first crack at replacing free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) at the "Z" position, the spotlight receiver spot in head coach Andy Reid's West Coast offense.

Fantasy Tip: Hill enjoyed a breakout season in 2016, so this news shouldn't be all that surprising, especially since he caught more passes (61) for more yards (593) than Maclin did, while playing in 215 fewer snaps. The 23-year-old could turn out to be a very dangerous weapon in fantasy leagues in the upcoming campaign with the increased volume.
