Browns | Seth DeValve leads team in yardage

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 13:52:34 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Seth DeValve hauled in four receptions for a team-high 70 yards in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. He also tied a team high with six targets. He did lose a fumble which ended up being a scoop and score for the defense.

Fantasy Tip: DeValve has posted two or more receptions in four of the past five outings, and seven of nine games overall. However, he should only be considered as a TE2 in the very, very deepest of PPR formats at this point.

Browns | Seth DeValve scores in Houston

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 14:40:47 -0700

Cleveland Browns TE Seth DeValve posted two grabs for just nine yards in Week 6 against the Houston Texans but he was able to get into the end zone.

Fantasy Tip: David Njoku's fantasy owners won't be terribly pleased that DeValve earned the red zone score rather than their guy. It DeValve's first score of the season. After managing 132 receiving yards over his first three games he has just 35 yards over the past three outings. Despite the score he isn't a fantasy option heading into Week 7.

Browns | Seth DeValve totals 61 yards

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 16:47:33 -0700

Cleveland Browns TE Seth DeValve posted two receptions for 61 yards on four targets in Week 2 at Baltimore.

Fantasy Tip: DeValve shook free for the team's longest offensive play, a 49-yard catch and scamper. However, he is still not the Cleveland tight end to target for fantasy purposes. Rookie David Njoku has far more fantasy appeal and upside.

Browns | Seth DeValve impressive during spring

Wed, 12 Jul 2017 09:13:09 -0700

Cleveland Browns TE Seth DeValve "jumped out" in spring practices as one of the most improved players from 2016, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.

Fantasy Tip: Cabot, fellow beat writer Nate Ulrich and head coach Hue Jackson have all hyped the second-year tight end over the last month, so owners would be wise to keep tabs on him going forward. With Cleveland's wide receiver corps average at best and rookie tight end that David Njoku probably not ready for prime time right away, DeValve is someone who could be this year's Cameron Brate or Jack Doyle and come out of nowhere to be a top-15 tight end.

Browns | Seth DeValve poised to break out?

Fri, 23 Jun 2017 12:35:56 -0700

Cleveland Browns TE Seth DeValve may be the team's most improved player after becoming noticeably bigger, faster and stronger this offseason, according to the Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich.

Fantasy Tip: DeValve was reportedly putting on "clinics" during OTAs. Ulrich writes the second-year Princeton product could become a go-to option in part because the receiving corps has done little to inspire confidence this offseason. While rookie David Njoku is obviously a better long-term investment, DeValve should be the better option at tight end investment this season and possesses TE2 upside. Consider him with a late-round pick on draft day.
