Broncos | Steady role for Royce Freeman?

Sat, 12 May 2018 18:29:41 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman will have a chance to become a "1B" back to RB Devontae Booker, according to Mike Klis of 9News.com.

Fantasy Tip: Devontae Booker hasn't exactly stood out when given playing time in the past, and it sounds like Freeman will have the opportunity to earn a meaningful amount of touches. Consider him an upside RB5 for now.

Broncos | Devontae Booker to remain top RB?

Fri, 27 Apr 2018 18:43:11 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman will likely compete with RB Devontae Booker for the starting role, according to Mike Klis of 9News.com, but Klis expects Booker to open the season as the starter.

Fantasy Tip: Booker has battled injuries and has shown little explosiveness when on the field. Even if he does head into Week 1 as the starter, he looks like a RB3.

Broncos | Devontae Booker alone at the top

Mon, 16 Apr 2018 07:58:50 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker is atop the depth chart after the release of RB C.J. Anderson Monday, April 16.

Fantasy Tip: This is subject to change as it's possible the team could draft Saquon Barkley if he makes it to No. 5. Booker has rushed for a paltry 3.6 yards per carry in 253 career rushes. If he's in position for a big workload, he'll be an RB3 in fantasy.

Broncos | Devontae Booker the lead back?

Sat, 17 Feb 2018 20:00:44 -0800

The Denver Broncos are hoping RB Devontae Booker emerges as the No. 1 running back in 2018, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com, and Legwold believes RB C.J. Anderson may not be back with the team.

Fantasy Tip: Booker has flashed some potential with limited touches, and his fantasy value would receive a big boost if Anderson ends up elsewhere next season.

Broncos | Devontae Booker disappears

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 18:18:40 -0800

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker rushed two times for eight yards and failed to catch his only target in a 35-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: After it appeared he was closing the gap with starter C.J. Anderson, Booker has barely touched the ball the last two weeks. He is no more than an insurance policy for Anderson right now.

Broncos | Devontae Booker shut down

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 19:25:19 -0800

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker rushed six times for 11 yards and caught two passes for 22 yards in a 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Booker and C.J. Anderson continue to split carries almost evenly, and neither back is a great fantasy play. If you have to roll the dice on one, a slight edge goes to Booker because of his involvement in the passing game.

Broncos | Devontae Booker logs 19 touches

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 20:31:10 -0800

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker rushed 14 times for 44 yards and caught five passes for 54 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Booker had his best game of the season, and he had more touches than C.J. Anderson. Expect a committee approach to continue in Denver, but Booker looks like a viable flex play in PPR formats.

Broncos | More carries for Devontae Booker?

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 20:15:19 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker has made the most of his limited touches, according to head coach Vance Joseph. "He's a young guy with strong, fresh legs," Joseph said. "He has great ball skills. As we go along here, he should get more opportunities."

Fantasy Tip: Booker isn't seeing enough touches to be considered a fantasy starter, but he is worth stashing in deeper leagues and keeper formats.

Broncos | Devontae Booker has his best game of '17

Mon, 30 Oct 2017 20:53:51 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker rushed for a season-high 40 yards on six carries and scored his first touchdown of the year in the team's Week 8 loss Monday, Oct. 30, versus the Kansas City Chiefs. He also had three receptions for 14 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Even with Denver losing decisively for most of this game, Booker was still able to chip in a solid performance that easily registers as his best of the campaign. Unfortunately for the second-year man out of Utah, C.J. Anderson is still around, meaning Booker's ceiling will always be severely capped. He's worth stashing on most rosters, however, and could be a useful option down the road.
