Ravens | Kenneth Dixon penalized again

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 16:13:59 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) was suspended for two additional games by the National Football League on Friday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Dixon, who is on the Reserve/Injured list due to a torn meniscus, was already suspended for the first four games of 2017. This suspension is due to a violation of the substance abuse policy, giving him six games in total. Since he is on IR, the penalty will transfer over to the 2018.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon out for season

Tue, 25 Jul 2017 15:26:09 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) will be sidelined for the regular season after undergoing surgery on his medial collateral ligament Tuesday, July 25. The recovery time is expected to be four to five months.

Fantasy Tip: Hello, Terrance West. West and Danny Woodhead now comprise the two-man backfield for the Ravens. West more than held his own in a similar last year and deserves consideration as a low-end RB2 to high-end RB3, although he has less appeal in PPR leagues with Woodhead there. Woodhead remains an RB2 candidate in PPR formats if he can stay healthy.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon has torn meniscus

Tue, 25 Jul 2017 06:05:35 -0700

Updating an earlier report, Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) suffered a torn meniscus and will require surgery, according to a source. The hope is he just requires a trim of the cartilage, but his status will be determined after surgery.

Fantasy Tip: Dixon is suspended for the first four games, but this will cost him valuable time in training camp. It's possible the first half of the season will be a wash for him as he'll have to get caught up to game speed. He could still be worth a final-round flyer for depth.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon hurt his knee

Tue, 25 Jul 2017 05:43:04 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) tweaked his knee while training, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: The severity is unknown, but what is known is Dixon is suspended for the first four games. If the injury isn't serious, he could still be worth a late-round flyer. However, he'll have a hill to climb up the depth chart.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon to have big role?

Fri, 07 Jul 2017 19:37:17 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon could have a bigger role in the offense this year, according to Ryan Mink of BalitmoreRavens.com.

Fantasy Tip: Dixon closed last year on a high note, but a four-game suspension and the signing of Danny Woodhead quickly derailed the hype train. He could still end up leading the backfield when all is said in done, and Dixon could be a sneaky pick in the later rounds.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon suspended four games

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 13:28:25 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon has been suspended for the first four games of the 2017 season for violating the league policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Fantasy Tip: Although the Ravens certainly didn't agree to terms with Danny Woodhead solely to cover themselves for such an occurrence, it now makes a bit more sense why Baltimore sought him in free agency. Dixon's stock obviously takes a hit, probably to the point where he will be a late-round pick at best in redraft leagues this summer.

Ravens | Baltimore wants to add big-play RB

Mon, 09 Jan 2017 09:03:28 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RBs Kenneth Dixon and Terrance West appear to be on solid footing with the team, but head coach John Harbaugh hinted the Ravens will be interested in adding a player to the mix that could help them improve on the seven 20-yard plays (six runs, one reception) his backs created in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: According to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, Baltimore would have drafted Todd Gurley in 2015 or Ezekiel Elliott in 2016 had either player fallen in its lap. This year's running back crop is expected to be one of the best in some time, although LSU's Leonard Fournette and Florida State's Dalvin Cook could both be off the board by the time the Ravens select at No. 16. Stanford's Christian McCaffrey could be in play, however.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon finds end zone

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 13:22:14 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17. He also caught three passes for 19 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Dixon received more playing time as the season went on and should have a chance to compete for the starting running back job during training camp next season. He could be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in drafts if he is the starter.

Ravens | Kenneth Dixon leads backfield

Sun, 25 Dec 2016 17:12:37 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon carried a team-high 12 times for 57 yards and added one catch for one yard in a 31-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, Dec. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Dixon had two more carries than Terrance West and was far more efficient. The Ravens seem content to determine the backfield pecking order on a weekly basis, making both Dixon and West risky flex plays in the regular season finale.
