Giants | Paul Perkins fully practices

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 11:50:52 -0700

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 2.

Fantasy Tip: As has been well documented, Perkins has been a no show this season even when healthy. He'll really have to tick his game up a few notches if he wants to earn his starting job back from Orleans Darkwa. With Perkins behind him, Darkwa is an RB2 or flex consideration in Week 9.

Giants | Full practice for Paul Perkins

Wed, 01 Nov 2017 12:54:42 -0700

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Perkins will be able to return to the field this weekend barring any setbacks. Unfortunately, he has done next to nothing as New York's starting running back this year. Orleans Darkwa, and even Wayne Gallman, remain better fantasy options until Perkins can get his head on straight.

Giants | Paul Perkins out

Fri, 20 Oct 2017 08:12:03 -0700

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) is out for Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Orleans Darkwa took control of the backfield last week with 21 carries for 117 yards against the best defense against RBs in the league this season. The Seattle Seahawks have been good as well, but Darkwa makes a solid flex choice.

Giants | Sterling Shepard, Paul Perkins limited

Wed, 18 Oct 2017 10:59:24 -0700

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) and RB Paul Perkins (ribs) were able to participate in practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: When Shepard is able to make it back on the field, he will immediately assume top receiver responsibilities in this offense following season-ending ankle injuries to Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall. Shepard figures to be a volume-based WR3 going forward, and he and Evan Engram figure to be the only Giants pass-catchers to hold any semblance of fantasy value in what figures to be a very conservative offense. Perkins can be dropped in all but the deepest of leagues.
