Titans | Derrick Henry manages just 32 yards

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 22:36:33 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry logged seven carries for 32 yards as part of the team's Week 11 defeat versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Not much went well for the Titans on Thursday, including the running game. While Henry fared better than backfield mate DeMarco Murray, the second-year pro continues to see uneven opportunities from one week to the next. As long as that continues, Henry is no better than a deep flex option.

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 14:40:45 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 52 yards on 11 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Henry continues to share carries with DeMarco Murray and has received at least 10 carries in three of the last four games. He can be considered a flex option in deeper leagues.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry ran eight times for 26 yards and a touchdown and had two catches for 10 yards in a 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Henry's carries continue to fluctuate from one game to the next, and he'll remain a risky flex play unless DeMarco Murray suffers an injury.

Titans | Derrick Henry goes nowhere fast

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 13:56:36 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 13 times for just 13 yards in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns and he added two receptions for 11 yards on three targets.

Fantasy Tip: Henry exploded for 131 yards and a touchdown on Monday night against Indianapolis and he had big expectations with DeMarco Murray entering as a question mark with a hamstring injury. Henry was a total dud, and now Murray gets the bye to get back to 100 percent.

Titans | Tennessee pleased with Week 6 backfield split

Tue, 17 Oct 2017 19:21:36 -0700

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters he liked the distribution of work in the backfield during the team's Week 6 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Derrick Henry rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, while Murray gained 40 yards on 12 carries. Mularkey also said Henry is beginning to establish himself as a big key in the fourth quarter of games. "That's probably been the case of late, when we go into a four-minute. Henry's probably a little fresher from not taking a lot of snaps. … But I really like how it has played out with percentages and how these guys (get along). I mean, the first guy down to congratulate (Derrick) on his (72-yard) touchdown was DeMarco Murray," Mularkey said.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the disparity in Week 6, Murray is still the lead back in this offense. It's also worth noting Henry was having a mediocre day (59 yards on his first 18 carries) before his dash to the end zone. With that said, Murray refuses to take a game or two off to let his hamstring heal, so Henry may continue to see more work moving forward until that changes. Murray is a back-end RB2 at best at this point, while Henry is a high-upside flex option.

Titans | Big Monday night for Derrick Henry

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 20:59:56 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry racked up 131 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in the team's Week 6 game Monday, Oct. 16, versus the Indianapolis Colts. He also had one catch for 14 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Henry did the majority of his damage on his final rush attempt, taking it 72 yards into the end zone to put the game out of reach. His owners should not only be happy with this performance but also with the fact that he recorded more rushes than DeMarco Murray, who received just 12 carries. Henry is a fine weekly FLEX option in most leagues, with the potential to be a serviceable RB2 if his workload was steadier.

Titans | More carries for Derrick Henry?

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 18:27:12 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has been patient, according to offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie, and Robiskie said he plans to have Henry be more involved in the offense going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Henry could become a viable flex option if he receives enough carries, but it remains to be seen how much more involved he will actually be going forward. He is too risky to start against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.

Titans | Derrick Henry not involved

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 18:32:17 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry ran four times for nine yards in a 16-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Henry has been an afterthought in the offense the last two weeks, rushing 10 times for just 16 yards. He remains a must-own player, but only as a handcuff to DeMarco Murray.

Titans | Derrick Henry will be fine

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 15:56:26 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (thigh) will be able to play in Week 4 even though he suffered a thigh contusion in Week 3, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Henry received the start in Week 3 because of DeMarco Murray's injury and finished with 54 yards. He could start again if Murray is not able to but play but will have a solid role even if Murray returns. He should be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues and could be a No. 2 fantasy running back if he starts.

Titans | Derrick Henry bruises thigh

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 20:12:10 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (thigh) suffered a bruised thigh in a 33-27 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. Henry played through the injury and finished with 13 carries for 54 yards and one catch for 10 yards.

Fantasy Tip: The injury doesn't sound too serious, and Henry finished with one less carry than DeMarco Murray, who came into the game nursing a hamstring injury of his own. When healthy, Murray should continue to lead the backfield, but Henry remains a must-own backup, especially for Murray owners.
