Browns | Corey Coleman officially on IR

Tue, 19 Sep 2017 13:07:09 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hand) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Rashard Higgins and Ricardo Louis look to benefit the most from Coleman's misfortune. Kenny Britt is seemingly an afterthought in the Browns' offense now and should also be an afterthought in fantasy lineups. Higgins takes precedence on the waiver wire.

Browns | Corey Coleman likely to be placed on IR

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 17:23:58 -0700

Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hand) underwent surgery Monday, Sept. 18, to repair the fractured bone in his hand and likely will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 19. Coleman will be eligible of come off the Reserve/Injured list after eight weeks if he is healed.

Fantasy Tip: Coleman dealt with a broken hand last season and missed six weeks, so he will miss a significant amount of the season even if he is not placed on the Reserve/Injured list. Owners in most leagues can drop him if they need to add another player off the waiver wire. Rashard Higgins should receive a bigger role in the offense and could be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

Browns | Corey Coleman will have surgery

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 11:38:50 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hand) will undergo surgery on his broken hand, according to a source. Coleman's right hand is the same on he broke last season that caused him to miss six games. That injury did not require surgery, however. A timetable for his recovery was not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Rashard Higgins quickly took over as the Browns' top receiving threat in Week 2 with Coleman sidelined. Kenny Britt appears to be an afterthought in the passing game, so make Higgins a waiver wire priority heading into Week 3.

Browns | Corey Coleman has broken hand

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 09:19:46 -0700

Updating an earlier report, Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hand) has a broken hand, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: That's probably a four-to-six-week situation at least. Coleman can be dropped in non-dynasty formats. Sammie Coates didn't catch any of his four targets, but he may be seeing more come his way in the near term. He's worth a speculative waiver claim.

Browns | Corey Coleman held in check

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 16:49:23 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman was targeted seven times in Week 2 at Baltimore but he was able to haul in just one ball for nine yards.

Fantasy Tip: Coleman has speed to burn, and he obviously has the eye of rookie QB DeShone Kizer before everyone else. But so far it has been a slow go for the offense. They'll look to break out in Week 3 at Indianapolis and Coleman could be a nice fantasy sleeper as a result.

Browns | Corey Coleman leads passing attack

Sat, 26 Aug 2017 20:41:01 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman had four receptions on eight targets for a team-high 66 yards in a 13-9 preseason win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Saturday, Aug. 26.

Fantasy Tip: The quarterback situation in Cleveland isn't ideal, but the Browns could be playing from behind a lot this year, and somebody has to catch the ball. Coleman is a volume-based WR3 option.

Browns | Corey Coleman's case closed

Tue, 08 Aug 2017 15:43:46 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman was acquitted from his alleged involvement in a second-degree felony charge.

Fantasy Tip: Coleman is officially free to focus completely on football. The second-year receiver is somewhat of an under-the-radar prospect in the fantasy realm so far this year. He could surprise some people if he stays healthy given the fact that the Browns may very well be forced to throw often in attempts to catch up to their opponents.
