Seahawks | Thomas Rawls officially starting

Tue, 05 Sep 2017 14:52:11 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls is listed as the No. 1 running back on the Seahawks' depth chart. RB Eddie Lacy is listed as the backup, followed by RB C.J. Prosise.

Fantasy Tip: Lacy hasn't been terribly impressive in his first offseason with Seattle and did nothing to force the coaching staff to make him the starter. That being said, Rawls is no more than a flex consideration in Week 1.

Seahawks | Two Seahawks backs returning

Mon, 28 Aug 2017 14:25:39 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (groin) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 28, while RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) is expected to return to practice Tuesday, Aug. 29, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Seattle's backfield is somewhat of a crapshoot at this point. Eddie Lacy, Rawls and Prosise will all share playing time as long as they're healthy. Prosise has more appeal in PPR formats, but Lacy and Rawls are being drafted extremely close to each other. If you do choose to select one of these backs, it's best to start them only in good matchups and as a flex.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls, C.J. Prosise to be inactive

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 12:50:50 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RBs Thomas Rawls (ankle) and C.J. Prosise (groin) will both miss Seattle's Week 3 preseason tilt. Head coach Peter Carroll did say that both could play if it were the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Eddie Lacy will be the Seahawks' primary carrier of the football this weekend. If Rawls can't get fully healthy by Week 1, then Lacy will be in line to start the season opener, too. When all are fully healthy, though, Rawls has the most upside in non-PPR formats.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise should play

Wed, 23 Aug 2017 14:45:34 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (groin) is expected to play in Week 3 of the preseason, according to running backs coach Chad Morton.

Fantasy Tip: Prosise has the Seahawks' passing-down role on lock if he can stay on the field. That's a big if, though. He has dealt with injuries since college and only played in six games last year. Prosise still makes for a nice late-round PPR flier, but the risk is obvious.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise remains sidelined

Tue, 22 Aug 2017 19:47:57 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (groin) suffered a strained groin in pregame warm-ups prior the start of the second preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings on Friday, Aug. 18, and has been limited to individual drills since.

Fantasy Tip: Prosise has been beset by injuries dating back to his college days at Notre Dame, and his lack of durability is about the only thing keeping him from landing a lead back job in Seattle. The Seahawks have admitted to being concerned that he will never be able to stay healthy for any length of time, however, so his upside will probably be capped as passing-down back for the foreseeable future.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise bothered by minor groin injury

Sat, 19 Aug 2017 06:52:13 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (groin) was held out of the preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings Friday, Aug. 18, due to a minor groin issue, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Although Prosise will see the bulk of his playing time in third-down situations, he has the potential to be a decent flex option and is worthy of consideration as a RB4 in PPR fantasy leagues.

Seahawks | Chris Carson getting some first-team work

Wed, 16 Aug 2017 11:55:59 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson is clearly ahead of Alex Collins, according to ESPN's Sheil Kapadia, who adds Carson took first-team snaps along with Eddie Lacy and C.J. Prosise on Tuesday, Aug. 15, while Thomas Rawls got the day off.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise to be worked into offense?

Fri, 23 Jun 2017 18:31:32 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise will be used mainly as the third-down back, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, but Condotta believes Prosise will also be worked into the offense to exploit specific matchups.

Fantasy Tip: Prosise is worth snatching up as a RB4 in PPR formats, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him earn enough touches to garner attention as a flex option.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise a matchup problem

Sun, 18 Jun 2017 17:35:50 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise runs routes like a receiver, according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com, and Kapadia called Prosise "the biggest mismatch player" on Seattle's offense.

Fantasy Tip: Prosise should be used as the third-down back this season, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him line up as a receiver on occasion. He will have flex potential in PPR formats.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise up to speed

Fri, 09 Jun 2017 18:24:24 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (shoulder) has been a full participant during OTAs.

Fantasy Tip: The signing of Eddie Lacy will likely limit Prosise to mainly third-down work, but he is dangerous enough in the passing game to grab as a RB4 in PPR formats.
