Seahawks | C.J. Prosise might return this season

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 16:47:37 -0800

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) could return from the Reserve/Injured list later this season, according to head coach Pete Carroll, despite being placed on IR Tuesday, Nov. 14. His return would have to be during the postseason, however.

Fantasy Tip: Prosise would certainly give Seattle's backfield a boost if/when they are in the playoffs; we just don't know how long he'd be able to stay healthy. As for the regular season, Thomas Rawls possess the most fantasy upside in standard leagues, while J.D. McKissic has appeal in PPR formats.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise lands on IR

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 13:45:11 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries have plagued Prosise throughout his short career. He has only played in 11 games in his two seasons. Seattle's backfield remains a disappointing crapshoot, but Thomas Rawls has the most upside going forward. J.D. McKissic is worth a pickup in PPR leagues.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise injured other ankle

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 23:29:08 -0800

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) sprained his "other" ankle and not the one he'd missed time with due to a high-ankle sprain, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: This latest Prosise news is another reminder that availability is as important as ability, and the former Notre Dame star simply can't stay on the field. Keep an eye out for updates on the severity of the injury.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise out for game

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 19:51:01 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) suffered an ankle injury against the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, Nov. 9, and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Fantasy Tip: Even if the injury turns out to be minor, Prosise is only worth owning in deeper PPR formats. Seattle's ground game is such a mess right now that none of the backs are ideal starting options.

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise on the field Monday

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 16:50:11 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) fully participated in the team's walkthrough Monday, Nov. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Prosise appears to have a good chance to play in Week 10 as long as he does not suffer a setback. He probably will be involved in the passing game if he plays but may not be a great option for fantasy owners.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise to play in Week 10?

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 10:09:01 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) "will play (in Week 10)," according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: This comment is notable because Seattle plays on the road Thursday against the Arizona Cardinals, indicating the team likely thought he was almost ready to go Sunday. If he does play, expect him to play a small role considering he has logged only two snaps since originally injuring his ankle in Week 3. Prosise could be a second-half stud in fantasy and answer Seattle's prayers when it comes to a running game, but his durability makes him a risky bet for either long-term.
