Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott solid in MNF victory

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 22:34:23 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott registered 22 rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 3 win Monday, Sept. 25, against the Arizona Cardinals. He also added three receptions for 14 yards.

Fantasy Tip: It was the first rushing touchdown of the campaign for the former Ohio State Buckeye. Elliott's numbers through the first three games leave a little bit to be desired, but this was a nice bounce-back effort following last week's disastrous showing in Denver. He'll continue to be a strong RB1 option no matter what defense he's opposing.

Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott to play in next two games

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 17:09:51 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has been cleared to play in the next two games after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th District set a Oct. 2 court date for the case involving his six-game suspension.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott was limited to eight yards against the Denver Broncos last week and will be facing an Arizona Cardinals rush defense that ranks in the top-10 in the NFL. Elliott should have more success in Week 3 and can be a No. 1 or No. 2 fantasy running back for owners this week.

Sat, 16 Sep 2017 19:00:17 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott can set an NFL record against the Denver Broncos in Week 2 by rushing for at least 80 yards in his 16th straight game.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott has as much upside as any back in the league, but fantasy owners can certainly appreciate the consistency, as well. Pencil him in for another week of RB1 production against the Broncos.

Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott granted restraining order

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 15:27:11 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott was granted a temporary restraining order by a Texas judge on Friday, Sept. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott is now eligible to continue playing, and it's possible that he might be able to play for the remainder of the season before a lengthy court battle ensues in the offseason, or even into 2018. It's a situation similar to that of Tom Brady and 'Deflategate', so do not expect this to be the last you hear of it. This is outstanding news for fantasy owners who rolled the dice on Elliott.

Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott allowed to play Week 1

Tue, 05 Sep 2017 17:51:18 -0700

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott will be allowed to play Week 1 against the New York Giants despite arbitrator Harold Henderson's decision to uphold Elliott's six-game suspension Tuesday, Sept. 5. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the judge who will rule on the temporary restraining order will do so on Friday, Sept. 8.

Fantasy Tip: So it appears Elliott will play the season opener after all. The question becomes whether the courts grant Elliott's temporary restraining order or not. If they do, he could possibly play the full season. If they donít, he will be forced to sit six games at some point in 2017. Owners need to prepare for latter and consider Elliott no more than a RB2 who will likely miss half the fantasy season at some point. Darren McFadden will see the bulk of work if/when he is forced to miss time.
