Abdullah remains in jail Thursday, May 8, and his bail was set at $500.

Mon, 05 Jun 2006 05:48:16 -0700 Florida Today's Tampa Bay's 10 is reporting former NFL RB Rabih Abdullah was arrested Sunday evening, June 4, on DUI charges. Police arrested him as he appeared to be driving erratically on a Tampa street. He failed a field sobriety test. A search of his 2004 BMW revealed a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun, a set of brass knuckles, and a small amount of marijuana. He refused a breathalyzer exam at the police station. He was charged with DUI, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of marijuana.

Wed, 04 Feb 2004 00:23:53 -0800 The Chicago Tribune reports Chicago Bears RB Rabih Abdullah pleaded guilty to charges of driving under the influence Tuesday, Feb. 3. He was sentenced to a year's probation and was ordered to pay $1,244 in fines and court costs. He must also attend an alcohol and substance abuse program and a victim's impact panel. Prosecutors agreed to drop two other charges, which consisted of leaving the scene of an accident and improper lane usage, if Abdullah pays his fines by April 20 and doesn't get in trouble during his year of probation.

Charges are currently pending.

"I would just like to apologize to my teammates, my coaches, my family, my wife," Abdullah said. "I take full responsibility for any repercussions from this. I know what it takes to win in the NFL and what I did was obviously a distraction and I don't want to distract my teammates or hinder them in any kind of way. I just apologize to everybody involved." Abdullah was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident on Monday night.

Abdullah was taken to a local hospital where it was determined he suffered a concussion. No other injuries were identified, but he will remain under hospital observation until at least Wednesday. "We are still gathering information regarding the accident," Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said. "Our top concern is Rabih's health and well-being."
