Mike Mulligan, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports for the Sporting News that the Chicago Bears may not invite QB Henry Burris (knee) to the team's camp. Burris was recently injured in NFL Europe.

Updating previous reports, the Chicago Tribune reports Chicago Bears QB Henry Burris (knee) suffered a slight tear in the MCL of his left knee while playing a game in NFL Europe. Burris will undergo arthroscopic surgery to fix the problem and to further determine the extent of the injury.

Chicago Bears QB Henry Burris (knee), playing in NFL Europe, suffered a sprained left knee over the weekend. He has returned to Birmingham, Ala., where he’ll be re-evaluated by NFL Europe sports medicine staff members. With just four weeks remaining in the NFL Europe season, Burris will not return to the Berlin Thunder.

The AP reports Chicago Bears QB Chris Chandler (concussion) is OUT this week. QB Henry Burris will make his first NFL start Sunday. Chandler did not practice Friday and wasn't available for comment. "He wants to play," Coach Dick Jauron said of Chandler. "He's not particularly happy about this, I must say, and that's to be expected from a competitor like that. But it's the right thing."

Updating previous reports, the Associated Press reports the Chicago Bears will wait until later in the week before naming their starting quarterback for week seventeen. QB Chris Chandler (concussion) suffered his fifth career concussion and the team doesn’t want to jeopardize his future so they may go with Henry Burris as their starter.

Updating an earlier story, the Daily Herald reports Chicago Bears QB Chris Chandler suffered his fifth, and perhaps last, concussion in six years during Sunday's game. He may not be able to play in week 17. Chandler has been knocked out of three of the seven games he started this season. "I'm concerned about every position on this team," offensive coordinator John Shoop said, "(but) you're especially worried about the quarterback position." The Bears may have to play QB Henry Burris next week.

The Daily Herald reports the Chicago Bears were hoping to get QB Henry Burris on the field for a couple of series Sunday, but veteran QB Chris Chandler was just playing too well. On the day, Chandler completed 22-of-27 passes. “I really thought that Henry would play at some point in the first half, maybe one play, maybe a series of plays, depending,” offensive coordinator John Shoop said. “But I think Chris was pretty hot.”
